We are passionate about working with educational settings whose vision and ethos matches our own and who are committed to providing a warm, welcoming, encouraging and professional learning environment for our trainees.
Each setting in which our trainee teachers learn has unique strengths which they bring to the partnership, enabling our trainee teachers to build a composite approach to become the best teacher that they can be. We work closely with key members of staff at each school to ensure our trainees receive the highest quality training.

Periods of professional practice are allocated by the YTCA SCITT and are not decided on geographical location but on the trainee’s specific individual training needs. Therefore, there is an expectation that you will (and you need to be prepared to) travel to the allocated educational setting which may be some distance from your home.
Feeder primary schools offer an additional experience and provide a context for learning including the transition of pupils from Key Stage 2 into Key Stage 3 and the teaching of phonics, literacy and numeracy.
We also work with Enhanced Placement Providers who bring a different dimension to education and enrich the experience of our trainees.
